Mary Alice Cosgrove, MSW resides in Scranton with her husband and two daughters. Mary Alice received both her Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work from Marywood University.

Mary Alice joins the staff of Hospice of the Sacred Heart with a wealth of experience and knowledge from her previous employment history.

Her most recent position, prior to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, was as Director of Human Services for the Jewish Home of Eastern Pennsylvania. From that directorship Mary Alice has a comprehensive understanding of federal funding as well as community social services which are available to patients. Mary Alice enjoys an admirable reputation as a strong patient advocate.

Mary Alice serves on the staff of Hospice of the Sacred Heart in several capacities. As the Social Worker, Mary Alice enhances the functioning of Hospice patients and their families through referrals to social work services within the community. As Community Relations Manager, Mary Alice has developed a strong, strategic marketing plan. The efforts of the marketing plan reach far into the community through Hospice education presentations, as well as physicians' visits, case managers contacts, and development of marketing materials. As Compliance Officer, Mary Alice oversees the monitoring and maintenance of the Compliance Program.

Her big, bright blue eyes reflect her passion when advocating for Hospice of the Sacred Heart as either Social Worker, Community Relations Manager, or Compliance Officer. Those same eyes see clearly through any psychosocial situation, marketing challenge or compliance issue. Her ability to make good decisions coupled with her quick wit enable her to shine in all three levels of accountability.
