Diane Baldi, RN, CHPN, resides in Scranton with her husband, two daughters and son.
As a veteran nurse, Diane has cared for countless hospice patients over a span of seventeen (17) years.
In 1992, Diane received Board Certification as a Hospice and Palliative Nurse. In 1997 Diane played an integral role in the establishment of the VNA Hospice In-patient Unit at Community Medical Center in Scranton where she served as Director.
Through an interesting set of circumstances, Diane was led to Dr. Frank A. Bucci, M.D., founder of Hospice of the Sacred Heart. As a result of several meetings with Dr. Bucci, Diane accepted the position of Executive Director of Hospice of the Sacred Heart in May, 2003. Diane laid the framework for the incorporation and licensure for Hospice of the Sacred Heart.
As Executive Director, Diane's many administrative responsibilities include organizing and directing the agency’s overall operation in compliance with agency policies and governing bodies.
Diane's administrative style is parallel to her nursing style. Diane is a person of competency, compassion, care, as well as a calming and re-assuring presence. In Diane’s own words, it is her hope, goal, and focus to provide "uncompromising patient care", while overseeing all that is required of a hospice executive director.
