Frank A. Bucci, Jr., M.D., an internationally recognized eye surgeon, is the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Director for Hospice of the Sacred Heart.

Through personal experience with his beloved wife, Dr. Bucci knows well the benefit of the Hospice movement.

Because Dr. Bucci believes so passionately in Hospice, he works diligently with his colleagues to heighten their awareness of that concept of care, and to familiarize them with the appropriateness of referring patients with life-limiting illnesses.

Dr. Bucci’s selfless desire to better serve the community of Luzerne County and the surrounding area has resulted in plans to construct the first free-standing Hospice Care Center, here in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Under the tireless leadership of Dr. Bucci, Hospice of the Sacred Heart has become a reality. Dr. Bucci shares with the staff of Hospice of the Sacred Heart the mission to provide uncompromising, compassionate care to patients of all ages and their families/caregivers.
